Message from Fr Paul, the Parish Priest

Welcome to  ‘Botwell’.

Situated in Hayes close to Heathrow Airport, the Parish has been in the care of the Claretian Missionaries since it was established in September 1912, shortly after the Claretians arrived in the United Kingdom and had purchased the property known as Botwell House, which now houses the Parish and the Primary School.

Whatever your age, background, or personal situation we aim to help you recognise how your personal gifts and talents can contribute to building up our parish community.  Our Goal is to be as inclusive as possible.  We hope you are made to feel welcome at all parish activities. Please complete a registration form and we will see how we can help you feel an integral part of our family.

This web page will give you a sense of what we are doing as we live our faith in today’s world. At present because of the coronavirus all our public activities are suspended though we are attempting to use the gift of technology to create opportunities for continued support and prayer.  Throughout these pages there are links that can allow you to communicate with us.

Please feel free to approach the priests or members of the pastoral team to see how we can help you feel part of ‘Our Community’ as quickly as possible no-one should have to serve an apprenticeship here to feel part of our family!!

Botwell 5Botwell Celebrates 90 years of Catholic Education

The school year 1931/2 saw the Claretian Missionaries and the Poor Servants of the Mother of God establish Botwell House primary school.  That marked the beginning of 90 years of commitment to Catholic education.

To celebrate this accomplishment, we are arranging a series of reunions for those who benefited from the Catholic education provided by the parish not just through Botwell but also in the Catholic secondary schools that parishioners attended: Our Lady and St Anselm later known as Walsingham, Douay Martyrs, Gumley House, Salvatorian College, Sacred Heart, St Bernard’s, Gunnersbury etc

Each reunion will be open to anyone who participated in the education and Catholic life of the different institutions that provided parishioners with a Catholic education.

The 60’s reunion took place on April 29th.  It was a good evening with good food and good company – if you missed out come and join us for the 1970’s reunion.

The cost of participation will be £10 and cover the expenses of the music and hot food.  A licensed bar will be available. We also intend to create a montage of photos for the period covered by the reunion so if you have any old photos from your school days, please scan them or make a copy on your phone so you can send them to us on paulasmythcmf@fatimacmf.org.

Tickets are available in the Parish Office or you can  purchase your tickets making a bank transfer using the following details  and then collecting the tickets at the door.

Payment should be made to Claretian Missionaries Trust,
