Welcome to the Roman Catholic Parish of The Immaculate Heart of Mary, Hayes, Middlesex
Message from Fr Paul, the Parish Priest
Beginning March 21st the Claretian Community will stream on the Parish Face Book Page (Immaculate Heart of Mary) a Mass at 9am each day.
At ‘Botwell’, we try to be a welcoming Catholic community.
Situated in Hayes close to Heathrow Airport, the Parish has been in the care of the Claretian Missionaries since it was established in September 1912, shortly after the Claretians arrived in the United Kingdom and had purchased the property known as Botwell House, which now houses the Parish and the Primary School.
Whatever your age, background or personal situation we hope you are made to feel welcome.
We hope this web page gives you a sense of what we are usually trying to do as we live our faith in today’s world. At present because of the coronavirus all our public activities are suspended though we are attempting to use the gift of technology to create opportunities for continued support and prayer.
Please feel free to approach the priests or members of the pastoral team to see how we can help you feel part of ‘Our Community’ as quickly as possible no-one should have to serve an apprenticeship here to feel part of our family!!!
Brief History of Our Church
Cardinal Vincent Nichols, on Public Acts of Worship in Churches in England and Wales – Please take the time to watch the short video to keep yourself updated. Also we have Letter from the Cardinal which can be here.
13 Whenever I hold back the rain or send locusts to eat up the crops or send an epidemic on my people, 14 if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again. 2 Chronicles 7
We offer you the following prayer which we invite you to pray and share….
PRAYER FOR THE GRACE OF HEALING AND PROTECTION
Lord Jesus Christ, you travelled through towns and villages curing every disease and illness. At your command, the sick were made well. Come to our aid now, in the midst of the global spread of the coronavirus, that we may experience your healing love.
Heal those who are sick with the virus. May they regain their health and strength.
Heal us from our fear, which prevents neighbours from helping one another.
Heal us from our pride, which can make us claim invulnerability to a disease that knows no borders.
Good Lord, healer of all, stay by our side in this time of uncertainty and sorrow.
May those who have died from the virus rest in peace and rise in glory.
Be with the families of those who are sick or have died. As they worry and grieve, defend them from illness and despair.
Be with the doctors, nurses, researchers and all medical professionals who seek to heal and help those affected and who put themselves at risk in the process. May they know your protection and peace.
Be with the leaders of all nations. Give them the foresight to act with prudence and charity for the well-being of the people they are meant to serve.
Stay with us, Lord, and grant us your peace.
