First Sunday Of Advent


Fr Joseph Raju Katthula cmf
Congratulations to Fr Joseph Katthula CMF who was  ordained priest on Wednesday 28th November in India.  Please remember Fr Joseph and his family in your prayers. Fr Joseph will be returning to Hayes in January.
Holy Land Artefacts
This weekend at all the Masses there will be members of a Holy Land group selling olive wood rosaries and other products from the Holy Land in the front porch of the church.  Buying these will help Christians living in the Holy Land, Israel.
Parish Bulletin
Please can all Parish Groups submit their news for the Christmas edition of the Parish Bulletin by the end of today Sunday 2nd December.  Please send to
Ecumenical Advent Service
On Tuesday, 4th December at 7.30 pm here at Botwell,  there will be an Ecumenical service with members of other Christian churches in Hayes to celebrate the beginning of Advent.  Come along and bring a neighbour.
Liturgy  meeting
There will be a meeting of the Parish Liturgy committee on Monday 10th December commencing at 7.00pm in the Claret Room.  All members of the committee are requested to attend.

Christmas Trees & Flowers
There will be a retiring collection next weekend towards the cost of trees & flowers for the church at Christmas.
Bible Diaries
Bible Diaries for 2019 are available for purchase from the repository in the Parish Office priced at £3.00 &  £5.00  Buy early while stocks last.
Friends of the Homeless
Soup  makers are still needed to make up packet soup on a Friday, late afternoon - everything provided; collect items during the week and return made up by 6.45pm, so will need transport. Please ring Elaine on 07986 117145 for further information, it would only be 6/7 times a year.  Thank you.
Bidding Prayers
If you would like the name of a sick relative or friend or someone who has recently died or whose anniversary it is to be included in the reading of the Bidding Prayers during Mass then please write down the name on the sheet on the red clip-board on the table by the side entrance as you enter the church.

The family of Jim Keating RIP thank all those who came to his funeral on 20th November and sent mass cards and messages of condolence. Thank you also to Fr John for the Mass and to the members of the SVP and Knights of St Columba who  supplied the guard of honour. Special thank you to those who donated £100.00 which has been sent to the League of Friends at Northwick Park Hospital who are going to put the money towards a new unit catering for Alzheimer's and Dementia.            
In Memoriam
The body of Helen McDonagh RIP will be received into the church today 2nd December at 7.00pm with Requiem Mass tomorrow Monday 3rd December at 12.15pm. Please remember Helen and her family in your prayers.
Christmas Bazaar
A big thank you to all who contributed to the success of the Christmas Bazaar last Saturday, the net amount received was £6149.69.
There are two raffle prizes of Eucharistic Ministers hampers remaining unclaimed:-
· Pink Ticket 966—Marg Kirk
· Orange ticket 151—Mathura.
Both prizes can be claimed from the Parish Office.
Gift Aid Envelopes
Recently requested Blue Gift Aid envelopes are available for collection from the Parish Office.  The parish cannot  benefit from the offertory donation if the Gift Aid envelopes are not used.
Lost Items
If you have lost or mislaid any items e.g. umbrellas, keys, handbags, rosaries, missals etc, in the Church or around the grounds, please enquire in the Parish Office as there are a number of such items which have been handed in over the past few weeks.
Tea & Coffee
Tea & Coffee are served in the foyer of the Main Hall every Sunday from 9.00am to 12 noon. An opportunity to meet friends and catch-up on the weeks events.

at reasonable prices 
are available from the repository in the Parish Office and
in the Church  (Front porch).
Buy your cards early to avoid disappointment.
