Third Sunday Of The Year


Senior Parishioners Party
The SVP and the Parish Pastoral Committee invite you to the Senior Parishioners Christmas Party which will be held next Saturday 27th January 2018
· Reception at 1.00pm
· Dinner at 1.45pm.
As numbers may have to be limited, this invitation is extended to parishioners who actually reside in the parish. For those who have already put their names down, please collect your tickets which are available from the Parish Office on weekdays during normal office hours. .
If you require transport to get to the hall, please leave your details in the Parish Office.
Volunteers required for the party on Friday 26th January from 10.00am with food preparation and the set-up of the Hall and on Saturday 27th January from 11.30am.
Please leave your name and approx. time you are available to help. Any help is greatly appreciated to make this an enjoyable day.

Senior Parishioners Party
The collection for the Senior Citizens party last weekend realized £493.80.  Thank you for your support.
Catechesis at
The Immaculate Heart of Mary
· Do you want to learn more about the Catholic Faith?
· Been thinking about becoming a Catholic for some time but never got around to doing anything about it?
· Married to a Catholic but not yet made a religious commitment of your own?
· Involved in the Parish here at The Immaculate Heart of Mary but never taken the step towards becoming a member in full communion with the Church?
· Baptised but not active in a church, or find yourself wanting more?
· Know someone who needs guidance in any of the above?
RCIA (Journey in Faith, Adult Confirmation.) is already looking for people who would like to join in this year’s programme.
If you are interested, you are invited to contact Daniel (Parish Pastoral Assistant). He is happy to provide you with the relevant information and guide you to the next steps.

Liturgy Meeting
A Liturgy meeting will be held on Tuesday 23rd January at 7.30pm in the Upper Room.
Funeral arrangements
Commencing this month, we will begin to display in the porch the funeral arrangements for the week ahead with a photograph of the deceased.
This will then be collected  and kept in a Book of Remembrance which will be left on the table by the Winter Chapel. Please remember these parishioners and their families in your prayers.
Details of funerals will no longer be announced at the end of Mass.

3rd Hayes Rainbows
We are looking for new members, girls aged between 5 and 7 years old (if younger we can put your name on the waiting list) to come and join us, having fun and making and doing new things.
We meet in the Scout Hut behind the Church where we have lots of special things planned for throughout the year. If you like any more details please give Michelle a call on 07903894650 or come along on Friday 12th January.     
In Memoriam
The body of Christina Davidson RIP will be received into the Church on Monday 22nd January at 6.30pm—everybody welcome,
Requiem Mass will be on Tuesday 23rd January at 12.15 pm.
Please remember Christina  and her family in your prayers.
St Valentine’s Dance
with Fish & Chip Supper
will be held on
Saturday 17th February
in the Social Hall.
Tickets at £10.00 each are available from the Parish Office.
The money raised will  go towards sending children to Lourdes with HCPT.
In Celebration
On Thursday 1st February 2018 there will be a Mass at 7.30pm in celebration of the Claretian Martyrs.
Also, Joseph Katthula will receive the minor orders of Acolyte and Lector as steps on the way to priestly ordination.  There will be a small reception following the Mass in the Main Hall.
