Cardinal’s Mass of Thanksgiving for the Sacrament of Matrimony
Westminster Cathedral,
Saturday 8th June 2019 at 3.00pm.
The Cardinal will be inviting to this Mass all couples in the Diocese who
are celebrating their 5th, 10th, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th (and every year over 60) wedding anniversary of Catholic marriage in 2019. If you are celebrating an anniversary, please give your parish the following details:  husband’s and wife’s names, wedding date, full postal address and email (or telephone number, if no email).  A list for these details is available in the Parish Office.
                                     
New Parish Minibus
We are looking for more people to drive the minibus to bring people to Mass on a Sunday and other parish activities.  Please give your name and contact details into the Parish Office if you would be interested in helping with this.
 
Holy Hour for Vocations
The next Holy Hour for Vocations will take place in the Church on Monday 11th February commencing at 7.30pm.  All are welcome to attend.
  
Knights of St Columba
The monthly Council meeting will take place on Monday 11th February commencing at 8.00pm in the Claret Room. New members always welcome.
 
Children’s Liturgy
Numbers are growing and thriving!  There is a real demand from the children to have a liturgy tailored to them however, we are still struggling with volunteers.
The existing group of volunteers are wonderful, however, they are unable to commit every week.
Please contact Sheila on 07432 047717 if you are interested in joining the group. 
Minimum requirements:
Must submit a completed DBS form to the parish office and also commit to a Sunday 12.00 noon Mass once a month.  Full training will be provided.
 
Marriage Preparation Course
We invite all couples with plans to get married, whether here in the UK or abroad, to take part in a ‘One Day Marriage Preparation Course’.  This is one of the requirements for the completion of the paperwork.  The upcoming dates are either Saturday 23rd March 2019 or Saturday 27th July 2019.  Will those interested please leave your names and contact details in the Parish Office.

The family of Rosaleen Mulligan RIP wish to thank everyone for their sympathy cards and also to thank the 8.30 singers and Fr John O’Byrne and Fr Jim Kennedy for celebrating the funeral Mass.
 
Parish Readers
New rotas are available for collection from the  Sacristy.
  
 Society of St Vincent de Paul
There will be a retiring collection this weekend by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. 
A huge thank you to all who kindly contribute so generously to our monthly collections.  We are solely reliant on your generosity, without which we would not be able to administer the financial and practical support that is so needed.

 Parish Repository
A good selection of Rosaries, Prayer books and Baptism gifts and cards are available to purchase from the Repository in the Parish Office and at the front of the Church.
 
 Tea & Coffee
Tea & Coffee are served in the foyer of the Main Hall every Sunday from 9.00am to 12 noon. An opportunity to meet friends and catch-up on the weeks events.
