Fifteenth Sunday In Ordinary Time

Claretian Family Day
This popular annual event will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 27th August at Buckden Towers, an opportunity to join those from other Claretian parishes round the country.
A coach has been booked leaving from here at 10.15am and at 6.00pm from Buckden for the return journey.
The seat price is £12.00 per adult—£6.00 per child.
There will be a bar-b-que lunch with refreshments and a programme of entertainment, fun and games throughout the afternoon with Mass before departing for home.
If you would like to take part and travel by coach to the Family Day, please add your details to the coach list in the Parish Office and please pay for your ticket/s at the time of booking and book early to avoid disappointment.

Buckden Summer Camps
Claretian Youth Retreats 2018
The  Claretian Missionaries are offering young Catholics an opportunity to participate in a five-day youth retreat that will give them the opportunity to explore their faith while living with others their age.
 
Details as  follows:-
11—13 year olds—23rd to 27th July
14 +   - 30th July to 3rd August.

Junior  Branch
To be held in either the Claret or the Upper Room from 1.00—3.00pm today 15th July. We run both religious & health focused activities.
Please bring your yoga mats & ensure you pack a lunch for your children. If you would like to find out more & want your children to take part in the sessions, please contact Sheila on 07432 047717. 
 
Society of St Vincent de Paul
A huge thank you to all who kindly contribute so generously to our monthly collections.  We are solely reliant on your generosity, without which we would not be able to administer the financial and practical support that is so needed.  Thank you again and God Bless you.
 
Catechist Training Workshop
Fr Paul has organised a course that will offer Skill Development and Strategies for people involved or interested in working as a catechist.  
If you have missed the first two sessions, please note that the third session will be on Saturday 8th September from 9.30am until 4.00pm in the Community Centre.

Children’s Liturgy
This Sunday will be the last session before the Summer.  There will be a small party after the 12 noon Mass.  All Welcome.  Enjoy your summer and see you in September
 
Parish Information
Dates for your diaries . . .
Activities & Recruitment Drive on the weekend of 1st/2nd September.
All parish groups are requested to prepare a display to inform members of the parish about their various activities and in so doing encourage them to join their group and help them in their work.
Parish Flower Festival over the weekend of 6th/9th September.
Help will be required with refreshments, guiding and stewarding in the church, sponsorship for the various flower arrangements etc. More details to follow.
Mass for Anointing of the Sick on Sunday 9th September at 3.00pm.
The Mass will coincide with the conclusion of the Flower Festival and will be a fitting tribute to all those who have supported the parish over many years in this and many other events.
A “Men Only” retreat .
This event will take place at The Claret Centre, Buckden from 8.00pm on Friday 14th September until 2.00pm on Sunday 16th September.

Congratulations
To all who completed the 10 mile sponsored walk last Saturday.  Sponsorship money is now due in. 
If you didn’t get the chance to sponsor someone, you can still contribute to the cause (children to Lourdes) by contributing through Fr. Chris or Dn. Joseph or one of the other walkers.
 
Tea & Coffee
Tea & Coffee are served in the foyer of the Main Hall every Sunday from 9.00am to 12 noon.
An opportunity to meet friends and catch up on the week’s events.
 
 Parish Repository
A good selection of Rosaries, Prayer books and Baptism gifts and cards are available to buy from the repository in the Parish Office or at the front of the Church.
