Twenty-Third Sunday In Ordinary Time


Mass of the Anointing of the Sick
Mass of the Anointing of the Sick will take place today Sunday 10th September, 2017 at 3.00pm in the Social Hall.
Claretian Community
There will be a Mass of gratitude and thanksgiving for Frs. Antony, Bijoy and Gerry on Wednesday 13th September at 7.30pm followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.  Donations of  plates of food, cakes etc would be gratefully appreciated.
First Holy Communion Parents Meeting
The first meeting with parents whose children are in the programme to receive their First Holy Communion next year will be on Wednesday 13th September at 3.45pm in the Parish Hall. This will be a short meeting (40 minutes maximum) and the object is to create the First Holy Communion Groups and hand out the calendar and the Mass attendance card. If child care is a problem, don’t worry, children are welcome. Look forward meeting you. The Catechists Team.
Knights of St Columba
The monthly Council meeting will take place on Monday 11th September at 8.00pm in the Claret Room.
Society of St Vincent de Paul
There will be a retiring collection next weekend by the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
Holy Hour for Vocations
The next Holy Hour for Vocations will take place in the Church on Monday 11th September commencing at 7.30 pm—everybody is welcome to attend.
Mary’s Meals
Mary’s Meals will be coming to our parish next Sunday 17th September to collect all your unwanted clothing, blankets, shoes, belts and bedding (no duvets or pillows please). 
Please put everything into sacks and then bring them to church before 12 noon. The collection point will be at the rear of the Social Hall via the school entrance.
Mary’s Meals would appreciate any help we can give with the handling/loading of the van with the bags.

Rite of Commissioning of Parish Catechists
Father Paul invites all the catechists who are taking part in any parish catechetical programme this year to attend the 8:30am Mass next Sunday 17th September.
During this Mass the catechists will be commissioned in their catechetical ministry. All parishioners, especially those who have family members involved in any of the parish catechetical programmes are welcome to attend and support our catechists.
In Memoriam
The funeral of Adalgisa Renza RIP will take place on Monday 11th September at 12.15pm Please remember Adalgisa and her family in your prayers.
Youth Confirmation 2017-18
The First Youth Confirmation Group meeting is on Thursday 5th October at 18:30 in the Parish Main Hall. All the candidates and their parents/carers are expected to attend this meeting. During the meeting; this year’s calendar programme will be handed out; we will have time to discuss and share expectations on the confirmation programme; and, finally, will have time to discuss the practical matters for the two-overnight retreat in Buckden, Cambridgeshire (Friday 10th to Sunday 12th November).
Friends of the Homeless -
an appeal for Drivers
Is there anyone who would be willing, on an occasional basis, to drive the Minibus to London to take food to the Homeless?  We leave at 7.00pm each Friday returning about 9.30pm.  If you are able to help, please leave your name and details in the Parish Office.      
HCPT Social Evening and Dance 
HCPT Group 128
will be raising money for their trip to Lourdes at Easter 2018 with a social evening and dance on
Saturday 30th September 2017 in 
St Edward's Parish Centre, Windsor from 7.30-10.30pm. 
Live music from
Dylan Mascarenhas.  
Tickets still available at £10.00 each which includes sandwich and sharing platter.  Bring your own alcohol or soft drinks. 
Adults only. 
Entrance will be by ticket only

on Sunday 17th September 2017 between 9.00am and 1.00pm. 
Come along, enjoy a great evening and help your Parish Group to raise the money needed to take some special children  to Lourdes!

If you are unable to come to the Social evening, could you donate a raffle prize instead?  
We would be grateful for gift vouchers, wines and spirits, chocolates or gift sets.
