Season of Lent
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday  14th  February.
Although Botwell School will be on half-term holiday there will be an extra Mass on this day at 9.30am.  It is also a day of Fasting and Abstinence, ashes will be blessed and distributed at the 9.30am 12.15 and 7.30pm Masses.
 
Senior Parishioners Party
A big thank you to all those who helped in any way with the Senior Parishioners Party last Saturday  A most enjoyable afternoon which was appreciated by all who attended, 
 
Catholic Teaching!
Interested in teaching in a Catholic school but not had the opportunity so far?

First Holy Communion
Today, Sunday 4th February we will be celebrating the topic called Forgiveness and Reconciliation at 8:30am Mass.
Parishioners are invited to attend this Mass and support our First Holy Communion children in their Journey of Faith.
 
In Memoriam
The funeral of Mary Fernandes RIP will take place on Friday 9th February 2018 at 12.15pm.  Please remember Mary and her family in your prayers.
 
Society of St Vincent de Paul
There will be a retiring collection next weekend by the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
 
Parish Gift Aid
Please ensure that you use your Blue envelope for any donations made under the Gift Aid scheme as ’loose plate donations’ cannot be recorded for this purpose. 
As we will soon be preparing the envelopes for the next financial year, please advise the Parish Office if you no longer pay Income Tax on salary, savings, pensions etc
Blue envelopes not used during the current financial year will not be reissued for April unless requested.
  
Friends of the Homeless
The Friends of the Homeless thank you for your support and ask that you please continue with your supply of food, donations etc for the London run on a Friday evening as without them we would find it difficult to continue. Thank you.
 
Parish Repository
A good selection of Rosaries, Prayer books and Baptism gifts and cards are available from the Repository in the Parish Office and at the front of the Church.
 
Tea & Coffee
Tea & Coffee are served in the foyer of the Main Hall every Sunday from 9.00am to 12 noon. An opportunity to meet friends and catch up on the week’s events.
 
Mobile Phones
Please remember to switch off your mobile phone whilst in the church and refrain from making calls during Mass. Thank you.

St Valentine’s Dance
with Fish & Chip Supper
will be held on
Saturday 17th February
in the Social Hall.
Tickets at £10.00 for adults and £5.00 for children
are available from the
Parish Office.
