Anna Dupelycz

As most of you will know, Anna is leaving us at the end of the month after 14 years of service to the parish.  There will be a retiring collection today if you would like to contribute towards a leaving present.

As a result of Anna's leaving there is a vacancy for a Pastoral Assistant in the Parish.  Details of the position can be found on the notice boards or on the Diocesan website at www.rcdow.org.uk. All applications to be made through the Diocese.

Knights of St Columba

The monthly Council meeting will be on Monday 11th August in the Upper Room commencing at 8.00pm.

Parish Finance

There will be a meeting of the Parish Finance committee on Wednesday 13th August commencing at 8.00pm in the Claret Room.

Water Company Policy

The Water Companies are ignoring churches charitable status and starting to charge Churches for the amount of area (i.e. roofs and car parks) that will collect rainwater and discharge it into the sewer network. 

This will effectively raise most churches water bills by hundreds if not thousands of pounds.
Please sign the government on-line petition on  http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ChurchWaterBills which, apparently, needs  at  least  15,000  signatures  to be noticed.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Adoration takes place every Friday from 10.00am until 12 noon and continues after the 12.15 Mass until 3.00pm.   Do join us for silent prayer and meditation for your own intentions and for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

CAFOD Supporters Day - Saturday 13th September

CAFOD invites you to their annual supporters' day at their office at Romero Close in Stockwell. The day is an opportunity to find out about CAFOD's work overseas and particularly the projects they are focusing on this Harvest Fast Day. It is also an ideal time to share an enjoyable day with other volunteers who promote CAFOD in their parishes.
