Pastoral Assistant

There is a vacancy for a Pastoral Assistant in the Parish.  Details of the position can be found on the notice boards or on the Diocesan website at www.rcdow.org.uk. All applications to be made through the Diocese.

Mass for the Sick

The Mass and Anointing of the Sick will take place on Sunday 7th September in the main hall commencing at 3.00pm followed by refreshments.

Church Refurbishment

Having now repaired the church roof and renewed the guttering, our next major project will be the refurbishment of the interior of the Church.  One estimate for ?30,000.00, just for the re-painting  has been obtained, others will follow. Other areas to be considered will include new carpeting, refurbishment of the kneelers, servicing of the sound system, relocation of some of the statues etc. We could be looking at a figure in excess of ?50,000.00.

As with the fundraising for the church heating, we have produced Gift Aid envelopes especially for the refurbishing project.  If you are a taxpayer and would like your donation to be Gift Aided, please follow the instructions printed on the envelope which are available in the porches or Parish Office..

Youth Centre - Caretaker

Fr Martin would like someone to help on a regular basis with the Youth Centre in a caretaker type role.  The voluntary position involves:

Ensuring that the Youth Centre offers a clean and safe environment for the users, volunteers and Parishioners.

Undertaking routine maintenance of the Youth Centre and facilitating the work of visiting contractors

Clean and maintain the Youth Centre:

Ensuring floors, work-surfaces & storage in the halls, corridors and meeting rooms are kept clean.

Ensuring that the floor, work surfaces and storage facilities in the kitchen and store rooms are clean.

Ensuring that the toilets are clean and supplied and that the baby changing room is clean.

Keep an inventory of supplies and materials.

Disposing of rubbish effectively and safely and recycling where possible

Checking that all electrical items used at the Centre are safe

Ensure that health & safety & fire regulations are adhered to in the kitchen and halls by all users.

In Memoriam

St Mark?s RC School, Hounslow

St Mark's is holding a reunion for all its past members on Friday 19th September , 7.30?10.30pm in the Main Hall of the school, 100 Bath Road, Hounslow.  All past pupils are invited from 1960?s to the 2008 school leavers.
