"Because you are so good, my Father, I want nothing more than to know your holy will so that I may do it; nothing more than to love you."

Frank Kelleher RIP

Eileen, Mary and family would like to thank everyone for their cards, prayers, Mass intentions and kind words following their recent bereavement.  A Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Confirmation Certificates

Confirmation certificates can be collected from the Parish Office during normal hours.

Botwell Community Centre

A retiring collection will be made this weekend for the refurbishment of the Botwell Community Centre and we ask parishioners to be as generous as possible.

Those who will benefit from the refurbishment will be:

Our Local Catholic Primary School

Kumon Maths and English (Providing Extra Tuition for our local children)

Our Parish Folk Group (who meet each week for practice and fun)

Our Parent and Toddlers’ Group (who meet to offer support to young parents)

Other Community Organisations who strive to improve our local area.

Thank you for your support and encouragement with  this project.

Unsavoury Incident/Disruptive Behaviour

The 10.00 am Mass last Sunday was interrupted by some unwanted and disruptive visitors.  As a result we immediately contacted the police.

In any such incident our first priority will always be the safety of parishioners and will be dealt with accordingly.

Thank you for your understanding.

Knights of St Columba - Golden Jubilee Award

Congratulations to Tim McCarthy who was enrolled as a Golden Jubilarian member of the Order of the Knights of St Columba and was presented with a Golden Jubilee medal and a Certificate of Membership at the end of the 8.30am Mass last Sunday.

The award was presented by Michael Bagness , Provincial Grand Knight of the Knights of St Columba and concluded with a special blessing by Fr Martin Stone .

It has been an interesting time for Tim as days earlier he was a guest of Her Majesty at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party in recognition of his kindness to others and his voluntary contribution to the parish of Botwell.

In Memoriam

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Margaret Butler who will be received into the Church on Thursday 30th July at 5.00pm with Requiem Mass on Friday 31st July at 12.15 pm. Please remember Margaret and her family in your prayers.

Catechists

If you are interested in helping with Catechetics — First Communion or Confirmation — please leave your name, contact details and preference in the Parish Office for the attention of Fr Martin.
