Arriving on Time for Mass

It is sometimes unavoidable that people arrive late for Mass, however, we would encourage parishioners to try to arrive five minutes before the start of Mass. This avoids unnecessary disruption and distraction.  Thank you for your consideration.

Mass and Anointing of the Sick will take place TODAY at 3.00pm in the Main Social Hall, followed by the Tea Party.

The next Holy Hour for Vocations will be on Monday 7th September commencing at 8.15 pm. in the Church.

Prayers of the Faithful

Prayers of the Faithful are generally intended for members of the parish and their immediate families, this includes prayers for the sick and RIP.  Please give this consideration when requesting prayers to be said.

There will be a meeting of the Parish Council on Wednesday 9th September at 8.00pm in the Upper Room.  All councillors are requested to attend.

Thank you.

Making your Will?

It is essential that you specify clearly the arrangements you wish for your funeral.  A Catholic Funeral generally consists of Requiem Mass followed by burial or cremation.  (Being in church overnight before the funeral is optional.)  Please ensure that those responsible for making the arrangements are quite clear about your wishes.

Foundation Governors Needed

The Diocese of Westminster Education Service is currently recruiting foundation governors for 1st September 2009 to all Catholic Schools in Diocesan Trusteeship which includes Botwell Primary School .

This is a vital ministry in the Church.  As a governor you will work as part of a team and will be provided with the necessary information and training to understand the role.

A key element of the role is to preserve and develop the Catholic character of the school in accordance with the school’s trust deed.

Returning to Catholic Education or New to Catholic Education

Are you an experienced Catholic Teacher working in a non-Catholic school but want to return to working in a Catholic school?

In particular are you looking for leadership promotion in a Catholic School but have never taught in a Catholic School or have less recent experience of doing so?

If the answer is yes then you may be interested in attending a Course at Vaughan House, Westminster on Saturday 26th September, 10.00am to 1.00 pm.
