Confirmations 2010

The preparation sessions for the young people will begin after Christmas, leading up to the Celebration of the Sacrament in June 2010.  The minimum age for Confirmation is 14, this is usually year 9 in School, and we have invited those who would like to celebrate this Sacrament in our Community to write to Fr Martin stating who they are and why they would like to be Confirmed.  Once the application letters have been received Fr Martin will seek to meet with each candidate to speak with them about their decision to be confirmed and discuss what work of service they intend to do during this time.

First Communion “2009”

The certificates for last years First Communion have now been completed.  We would like to gauge interest in how best to distribute these  and whether a party might be organised.  Please give your views on this in to the Parish Office.

Society of St Vincent de Paul

The retiring collection next weekend will be taken up by the SVP to help the needy of the parish and beyond.  We are grateful to the parish family for their continued support and to those who donate via the SVP box which is located adjacent to the Winter Chapel.
