Christmas Bazaar

The Parish Christmas Bazaar takes place on Saturday 28th November.  A small number of Draw Tickets are still available from the Parish Office—Thank you to those who have taken tickets and sold them to family and friends.

Prizes include: 

1st Prize — Kids Birthday Party at Goals, Heathrow 2nd Prize—£200;    3rd Prize– £100. 4th Prize—Mobile Phone.  5th Prize—Fairtrade Christmas Hamper & Nativity set.

If you intend to donate any saleable items then please leave them in the Parish Office.

Volunteers are needed to help set up the various stalls on the Friday evening and help to clear away after the event on the Saturday.  Please leave your details with Bridget in the Parish Office.

And please do come along on the day and have an enjoyable few hours in preparation for Christmas!

Advent & Christmas

A good selection of religious calendars, Christmas cards, gifts and cribs—all at reasonable prices-are available from the repository in the Parish Office.

Please remember to post your Christmas cards early!

Month of the Holy Souls

During the month of November,  Mass will be offered each day for the repose of the souls of those whose names appear on the November Dead lists. 

Eucharistic Ministers

There will be a meeting for Eucharistic Minister on Monday 16th November at 8.00pm in the Claret Room.

Confirmations 2010

The preparation sessions for the young people will begin after Christmas, leading up to the Celebration of the Sacrament in June 2010. 

The minimum age for Confirmation is 14, this is usually year 9 in School, and those who are seeking to be confirmed have already written to Fr Martin stating who they are and why they would like to be Confirmed. 

Fr Martin will seek to meet with each candidate to speak with them about their decision to be confirmed and discuss what work of service they intend to do during this time.

Grateful thanks. . .

Members of the family of the late Mrs Maureen Selvanayagam, who passed away on 23rd October, 2009 thank everyone who paid tribute by attending the funeral services and in other ways.  Also a special word of thanks is due to the medical staff for the dedicates pre-demise care and to the Parish Priest and staff for the help and co-operation extended.

Car Security

Following a car break-in last weekend, parishioners are reminded to ensure that nothing is left on show inside their car. 

Botwell School

Do you have a child who was born between 1st September 2005 and 31st August 2006?

Application brochures / forms to apply for a school place are now available from the school office.  Please call 020 8573 2229 for further information.  Completed forms must be received by the school child to attend no later than:

Noon on Friday 22nd January 2010.

You must apply for a place for your child even if:

they attend nursery or you have an older child attending the school.

Please note that Priest references will be signed on 14th/15th January in the Parish Office.

Caretaker Required

We are seeking a Caretaker to work in our busy parish complex.  This will enable us to continue to ensure that the parish complex offers a clean and safe environment for all those who use the parish buildings and grounds.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week including some evening and weekend work.

Salary: £8.50 per hour

Closing date: 4th December 2009
