Botwell House Catholic Primary School

Priest references will be signed on 14th/15th January in the Parish Office during normal hours and in the evening up to 7.00pm.

Pastoral Assistant

We are currently seeking a Pastoral Assistant to assist in the running of catechetical programmes. S/he will be responsible for co-ordinating sacramental programs including RCIA, Baptism preparation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, Children’s Liturgy and Marriage preparation as well as other RE programs as required.

It is important that the successful applicant is motivated, organised and able to work to their own initiative within this role.

The next Holy Hour for Vocations will be on Monday 11th January commencing at 8.00pm. in the Church.  Please come along and join in prayer for this vital need in the church today. 

Catholic Children’s Society

Crib Appeal 2009

The proceeds from the Crib offerings realised £559.98 and has been sent to the Catholic Children’s Society.  Thank you for your support.

Look in on neighbours who may be living alone.

Pray with your family for vocations.

Take time to visit the Church on a Friday during the Adoration between 10.00am—12 noon and 1.00pm—3.00pm.

Adoration of the Eucharist

Adoration takes place every Friday from 10.00am until 12 noon and continues after the 12.15 Mass at 1.00pm until 3.00pm.  Those who spend a regular weekly hour in the presence of Jesus claim that this time has changed their lives.

Fr Angel Ochagavia CMF who joins the Community here in Hayes and farewell to Fr Bejoy who has moved to Buckden.  Both placements  are until Easter when their appointments will be reviewed.   

Society of St Vincent de Paul

1.  The SVP would like to apologise to any husband or wife who has received an invitation for a deceased spouse to the annual Christmas dinner.  Unfortunately, we do not have a database to record family details and therefore rely on family members to inform us of their loss.

2.  The retiring collection this weekend will be taken up by the SVP to help the needy of the Parish and beyond.

3.  The Senior Citizens party takes place on Saturday 30th January 2010.   

Senior Citizens Club

Due to retirement the Club is in urgent need of a Treasurer.  If you are able to assist with this please contact Mary on 020 8848 0579 or Iris on 020 8561 1308.    Thank you.

Knights of St Columba

1.  The monthly Council meeting will take place on Monday 11th January at 8.00pm in the Upper Room.

2.  The annual St Valentine’s Dance with Fish/Chicken & Chips Supper will be on Saturday 13th February in the main social hall.  Tickets at £8.00 each will be available from the Parish office from Tuesday 12th January. 

St Claret’s Catholic Social Club

A reminder that renewal of Club membership is now due — dates for renewal to be advised.  New members always welcome.

In Memoriam

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Kathleen Cassidy whose body will be received into the Church on  Monday 11th January at 5.00pm with Requiem Mass on Tuesday 12th  January at 12.15pm.
