The Church and Young Adults
Everyone is called to be an intentional disciple of God. Our Parish has the responsibility of meeting each person where they are on their journey and encourage them to go deeper into their relationship with God.
There are many different roles that our community needs help with. We need adults who love God, love the Church and have a heart for helping others. We need mentors, models and people who want to make a difference in the lives of the young people in our care. We need people who desire to work behind the scenes with a servant’s heart.
God might be calling you to courageously respond to being that vitally important relationship in someone else’s life. Or maybe you and a few friends see something we need to try and get started as a parish.
Why not give the Parish Office a call or speak to one of the priests? We will gladly share with you our passion for helping others and all the different ways that you make a difference in people’s lives!
Here in Hayes, we are concerned that we are not doing enough to support young people in understanding their faith. The Parish team would welcome ideas from young people about how we can be of service to them and help the parish provide resources and opportunities for them to explore what God is asking of them to do with their gifts and talents.
It with be particularly helpful if we could identify potential leaders among the youth themselves who would be willing to create us as a parish offer spaces and responses to the matters that concern our young members
