Botwell Summer Fete 
Saturday 16th June

 
GRAND DRAW
 First prize—£1,500.00
Second prize—£500.00
Third prize— £250.00
 
Tickets are available from the Parish Office at 50p a ticket or £5.00 a book.
We are asking you to take books of tickets and sell as many as you can. When the counterfoils and money are returned, the total number sold by individuals will be recorded and a prize will be awarded to the individual with the most tickets sold.
  
The theme of the Fete this year is
INTERNATIONAL FAMILY DAY
 
Maybe you could form a group to perform a traditional dance or song—please think about it!

Diaconate Ordination
The ordination to the Diaconate of Joseph Raju Katthula will take place on Friday 18th May at 7.30pm. Please come along and support Joseph on this his special day.  The Mass will be followed by refreshments in the Social Hall.
 
Training for New Eucharistic Ministers
If you are interested in knowing more about this service and have been confirmed and able to receive communion, please come along to the Upper Room of Botwell House on one of the following dates/times:-
 
Tuesday 8th May  7.00—9.00 pm
Saturday 12th May 10.00am—12 noon.
Thursday 24th May 7.00—9.00 pm.
 
Legion of Mary
During the month of May, the Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary each Wednesday at 3.45pm (after school) in the Church.
We are inviting children and their families to join us for 15 minutes on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th  to pray the Rosary in Honour of Our Lady.
 
In Memoriam
Patricia Mary Nugent RIP, a former parishioner of Hayes, passed away peacefully on 14th April 2018.  Please remember Patricia and her family in your prayers.
 
Knights of St Columba
The annual Sponsored Walk will take place on Sunday 27th May 2018.  Details are on the noticeboard in the side porch and Sponsor Forms are available from the Parish Office.  Thank you for your support.
 
Altar Servers
Rotas for May and June are available for collection from the Sacristy.
 
Youth Committee Update
Youth sessions to be held in the Claret Room (for children aged 6-13)  from 1.00—3.00pm on 13th & 20th May; 3rd & 10th June and 1st & 8th July.
Activities include: Bible Study; Yoga; Drama; Games and Singing.
If you would like your child to take part in the Youth sessions, please contact Sheila from the Youth Committee on 07432 047717.
 
Children's Liturgy Update
The Children's Liturgy (during Sunday's 12 noon Mass) will be held in the Claret Room on the following dates:-
· 29th April.
· 13th & 20th May.
· 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th June.
· 1st, 8th & 15th July.
Please arrive at the church no later than  12 noon   and   usher  your children to the front as soon as the priest makes the respective announcement at the start of Mass.
 
830 Singers
The 830 singers are taking a short break and will be returning on Sunday 6th May.
 
Blood Donors
The next session will be in the Social Hall on Thursday 3rd May, 12 noon—9.00pm.
 
Missing Rosary
A parishioner left a rosary in the church on Wednesday evening 18th April with a missal. On returning to the church the missal was present but not the rosary.  If anyone has found a rosary  please return it to the Parish Office.    Thank you.          
  
 Buckden Summer Camps
Claretian Youth Retreats 2018
The  Claretian Missionaries are offering young Catholics an opportunity to participate in a five-day youth retreat that will give them the opportunity to explore their faith while living with others their age.
Details as  follows:-
11—13 year olds—23rd—27th July
14 +    30th July—3rd August.

Tea & Coffee
Tea & Coffee are served in the foyer of the Main Hall every Sunday from 9.00am to 12 noon. An opportunity to meet friends and catch up on the week’s events.
