The Baptism Of The Lord


Welcome Fr Joseph
Welcome back to Deacon now Fr Joseph following his Ordination in India.  He will celebrate his First Mass in our Parish at 12 noon today followed by a reception in the Social Hall—all are invited.
Money Matters
A recent audit by the Diocese of Westminster showed up several deficiencies in our money handling processes. 
There will be a meeting on Monday 21st January at 7.00 pm in the Upper Room to explain in more detail and begin to organise rotas etc. 
This meeting is for those who signed up last Sunday, those involved already and those who would still like to be involved. Please consider helping in this area in the life of the parish. 
Parish Keyholders
All holders of parish keys are asked to return all keys to the parish office so that an up-to-date key holder list can be drawn up according to Diocesan policy. 
People with keys are asked to return them to one of the priests or to the Parish Office in an envelope with their name on.
  Annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party
The date has been set for Saturday 2nd February 2019. Further details will be available in next weeks newsletter regarding tickets. 
N B. This is a change in the previous advertised date.
New Parish Minibus
A big thank you to Olivia & Sean Fitzpatrick for their generous donation of a minibus for the parish. It will be blessed   after  the  8.30am  Mass next
Sunday 20th January after which it will go and pick up the elderly for the midday Mass.
New Tidings
Copies of the December issue of ‘New Tidings’ the newsletter of the Claretian Missionaries are available from the Parish Office
   Receiving Communion
Gluten free hosts are available at Communion for any parishioners with celiac disease.  Please speak to the priest before Mass if you need one of these hosts.
Society of St Vincent de Paul
There will be a retiring collection this weekend by the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
New Year’s Resolution - Volunteer for CAFOD in the Westminster Diocese
Do you have good public speaking skills and want to help us tackling poverty and injustice?
 CAFOD needs volunteers to speak on our behalf in parishes and/or schools in the Westminster Diocese about our work in the developing world.

Friends of the Homeless
The Friends of the Homeless would like to thank those kind parishioners who have recently left donations of money and food over the Christmas period with a special thank you for the recent retiring collection.
Please continue with your donations of food etc. for the London run on a Friday evening as without your support we would find it difficult to continue.                Thank you.
Knights of St Columba
The monthly Council meeting will take place on Monday 14th January at 8.00pm in the Claret Room.  New members always welcome.
Gift Aid  Tax refund
If you pay tax on your income of salary, pension or savings why not consider Gift Aid for your weekly offering? 
Simply complete a Gift Aid Declaration form, available from the Parish Office and receive a box of blue envelopes for your weekly offering, alternatively, offerings can be made by Bankers Order.
Donating through Gift Aid means that the church can claim an extra 25p for every £1.00 of offering you give at no extra cost to yourself.
Thank you to all parishioners who do Gift Aid their weekly/monthly offerings to the Parish.  As a result the parish has received £14,606.70 as a tax refund based on your offerings for financial year 2017/2018.
Parish Repository
A good selection of Rosaries, Prayer books and Baptism gifts and cards are available to purchase from the Repository in the Parish Office and at the front of the Church.
 Mobile Phones
Please remember to switch off your mobile phone whilst in the church and refrain from making calls during Mass. Thank you.

Tea & Coffee

Tea & Coffee are served in the foyer of the Main Hall every Sunday from 9.00am to 12 noon. An opportunity to meet friends and catch-up on the weeks events.
