Christmas Bazaar

 

The Parish Christmas Bazaar takes place on Saturday 24th November.  Draw tickets at 50p each (£5.00 per book of 10) are available from the Parish Office.
 
1st Prize — £1000.00
2nd Prize— £500.00  
3rd Prize— £250.00
 
Pleae pick up your draw tickets and
 
. . . . .sell as many as you can!
 
Does anyone have an original, sparkling ideas for the Bazaar.
If so, would you like to organise a stall? 
 
If the answer is yes, please contact Jackie on 07930 757778 or leave your details in the Parish Office as soon as possible and we will get back to you to discuss your ideas!
 
Additionally any donations of bottles, especially wine or gifts that you would be happy to donate (no toys or books, please) could be handed in over the next few weeks for our stalls.
These would be very gratefully received and could go a long way to making our Bazaar better than ever!!
  

Bible Diaries
Bible Diaries for 2019 are available for purchase from the repository in the Parish Office priced at £3.00 &  £5.00  Buy early while stocks last.
  
Holy Hour for Vocations
The next Holy Hour for Vocations will take place in the Church on Monday 12th November commencing at 7.30pm.  All are welcome. To attend.
 
First Holy Communion Mass.
Next   FHC Mass to celebrate  the topic ‘CELEBRATING’ is today Sunday 11th November at 8.30am. All welcome to join us and support our FHC children.
 
Knights of St Columba
The monthly meeting will take place on Monday 12th November at 8.00pm in the Claret Room.
The Knights will be having their usual bottle stall at the Christmas Bazaar.  Any donations of bottles (wines, spirits etc.) will be greatly appreciated to help us support this popular annual event.   Thank you.
 
First Holy Communion
Next FHC Parent’s meetings are on Tuesday 13th November at 7pm and Saturday 17th November at 10:30am in the Church Hall. (choose only one to attend). During this meeting we will confirm FHC dates. Please make sure you sign the register at your arrival.  
 
Friends of the Homeless
Soup  makers needed to make up packet soup on a Friday, late afternoon - everything provided; collect items during the week and return made up by 6.45pm, so will need transport. Please ring Elaine on 07986 117145 for further information, it would only be 6/7 times a year.  Thank
 
.Sick & Retired Priests Fund
There will be a retiring collection this weekend for the Sick & Retired Priest’s Fund, envelopes are available for your offering. Please remember to complete the Gift Aid section if you are a taxpayer. The money collected is divided between the Diocese and the Claretian Missionaries.     Thank you.
 
Month of the Holy Souls
During the month of November a Mass will be offered each day for the repose of the souls of those whose names appear on the November Dead lists. 
The lists and envelopes are available from the Parish Office and Church.  Please take one home, complete it and return it together with your Mass donation in the envelope provided.
 
Blood Donors
The next session will be in the Social Hall on Thursday 15th November, 12noon—9.00pm.
 
Congratulations  to . . .
Thordis, the granddaughter of Tim McCarthy, who has won a gold medal for her activities in Karate.  She is now the British Junior champion for this event.  
 
Jackson’s Jams
Roy Jackson thanks everybody for their donation of jam jars, he now has enough for his current needs.
